House Democrats accused Republicans of playing on Americans’ fears when we warned that our country would be put in danger if the Protect America Act expired. Last week, the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General confirmed our fears, announcing that in the few days since the Act expired, our intelligence officials have lost critical information regarding foreign terrorists.
2/13/2008 Judiciary Weekly Update
On Tuesday, the Senate passed a strong, bipartisan bill that updates the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and protects the American people. It is time for House Democrats to do the same.
