6/23/2008 Judiciary Weekly Update
	Last week, the House passed a bill to update the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)—a law that governs surveillance of foreign terrorists and spies. The FISA Amendments Act of 2008 passed with strong bipartisan support by a vote of 293-129, with 188 Republicans and 105 Democrats voting yes. The Senate is expected to take up the House bill this week.

06/17/2008 Judiciary Weekly Update
	Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan will testify Friday before the Judiciary Committee regarding allegations in his new "tell-all" book. The supposed "revelations" made by McClellan, and his liberal publisher, have generated a wave of sensational media reports nationwide.

6/09/2008 Judiciary Weekly Update
	Last week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Assistant Secretary Julie Myers testified before the Immigration Subcommittee regarding medical care for illegal immigrants in detention facilities.

6/04/2008 Judiciary Weekly Update
	Two weeks ago, the Judiciary Committee’s Antitrust Task Force held its second hearing regarding the impact of rising gas prices on the economy and consumers. Executives from ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, ConocoPhillips and BP appeared to testify.
